Oxford (3 June 2020): Following the Government’s recent announcement regarding automotive dealerships reopening from Monday 1st June, the Harley-Davidson UK & Republic of Ireland dealer network are fully open again for customer enquiries.
In accordance with the guidelines, a number of new hygiene measures have been implemented for the safety & comfort of customers and staff and all customers are being advised to contact their local dealer before making the trip. Customers unable to visit their local store continue to have access to dealers’ online services.
For customers wishing to book test rides and appointments, additional hygiene procedures have been put in place, with Harley-Davidson’s Home Delivery service a great alternative option, particularly for those dealerships in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales who are operating to local government Covid-19 restrictions.
These actions come as the Motorcycle Industry Association (MCIA) this week launch UnlockYourFreedom.co.uk, a brand-new initiative to help highlight the reasons why riding is a great alternative to stay isolated and safe. It contains essential information and shares the easiest way to get on two wheels.
MCIA CEO, Tony Campbell, said: “Powered Two Wheelers are the perfect solution to the current Government advice of avoiding public transport. We are looking to every biker, industry connection and two-wheeled advocate to get behind the campaign to open up powered two wheelers to the masses and highlight the very real benefits of travelling on two-wheels.”
Harley-Davidson continue to support new riders through the Passport to Freedom campaign and offers financial assistance to complete rider training when purchasing any new Harley model.
