Remember the days when we had to find clever ways of hiding\u00a0indicators on custom bikes \u2013 which usually involved taking the\u00a0bloody things off completely because they were big, ugly and\u00a0ruined the lines?<\/p>\n
It\u2019s hardly an issue these days because first they got pretty,\u00a0then bikes got faster and the roads more dangerous so we had\u00a0better things to do than stick a retro-reflective gloved hand out\u00a0to signal. And finally, indicators got smaller \u2026 and brighter.<\/p>\n
Much brighter!<\/p>\n
Now, we\u2019re spoilt for choice. We get indicators built into stop\/taillights, and combined they are smaller than the bulbs that used to glow behind minimum size lenses! Great, isn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n
Into that mix, Custom Chrome have thrown these Proton\u00a0lights from Highsider: we\u2019re showing you the rear lights because that\u2019s what we\u2019ve been sent, but matching front indicators and\u00a0white marker lights are available, as are front indicator\/marker\u00a0lights combos. And they\u2019re all new too, and they share common\u00a0metal housings, so we\u2019ve given you prices for those too.<\/p>\n
Proton One is a classic side-mounted indicator but smaller,\u00a0with a slash-cut shell rather than the more common bullet,\u00a0Proton Two is more rounded and very close-fitting while\u00a0Proton Three looks as though it has been designed to sit flush\u00a0on a flat panel and also comes with a taillight\/rear marker light\u00a0option.<\/p>\n
