An ever-popular way to customize 1936-\u201984 rigid and 4-speed Big Twins is to install Sportster fuel tanks, but that meant the original rear gas tank mounts had to be removed making it complicated if you wanted to go back to your old tanks at a later date.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

With good, uncut frames getting really scarce, W&W\u2019s Wrecking Crew felt that a new solution was required and this is it. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Supplied in bare steel, the tank\u2019s tunnel and mounting brackets are designed to bolt right to your Big Twin frame with no drilling, cutting or welding whatsoever, leaving all of the original brackets and tabs untouched, so mounting these and re-installing the stock tanks is easy. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The brackets are positioned to hold the bottom of the Sportster-style tank parallel to the ground and they are supplied with a 3\/8-inch NPT fuel tap thread and a 1955-\u201982 filler neck.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
