Progressive Suspension need no introduction, and it’s no surprise that they\u2019ve brought out a full range of shock absorbers for Harley\u2019s Milwaukee Eight Softail, to upgrade the oem units and to give you ride height options.<\/p>\n

The 465-Series SGL is a high pressure, nitrogen shock with improved damping characteristics and spring rates, said to result in \u201cincreased suspension compliance\u201d: in English, that means to more effectively absorb the bumps on poor road surfaces, including longitudinal cracks which require more subtle control than a stock shock offers.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>They come in two forms \u2013 a threaded collar on the hard-anodised aluminium body or the Remote Adjustable Preload seen on the Breakout, Fat Boy, Fat Bob, Sport Glide and FXDR \u2013 and four lengths with either a standard or a Heavy-Duty spring, and if you want more than just a better shock, models are available that will raise the tallest by about an inch or drop it by 1 or 2 inches. It is apparently no more complicated than fitting a shorter shock, and you can drop a Heritage by 1-inch with a Street Bob shock, or 2 with the 309mm \u2026 which will reduce the height of the Street Bob by an inch.<\/p>\n

The Progressive 465s also have a 5-position adjuster for rebound damping, an improved precision mounting eye and come in any colour as long as it\u2019s black \u2013 well, you\u2019re not going to see it anyway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
