Successive generations might well be more efficient, but there\u2019s something about these older motors even when they\u2019re brand new and manufactured to modern tolerances, and the bigger debate is generator versus cone.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><strong><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica, serif;\">In this case, the right answer is \u2018cone\u2019.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica, serif;\">These 4\u00bcx3\u00bd 80-inch motors arrive fully assembled, using the best components that S&amp;S have to offer \u2013 steel flywheels, billet oil pump, roller rockerarms, reinforced rods \u2013 that exceed the original factory specs, and while the hard-edged billet rockerboxes and gear cover set it apart from a classic motor, they offer improved material quality and finer tolerances compared to the original cast parts.
