Technically, this is not a new product and has been around since the Boom!Box was launched, but it is new to us and is offered an as update to the Road Glide Special test from last issue.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yes, you can pair a Sena 20S with a 6.5GT Boom!Box and a 6.5GTS, \"\"<\/a>but first you need one of these: a Wireless Headset Interface Module. And once you have got one, you can connect your stock Sena 20S into the Boom!Box and get to use voice commands, hands-free phone, turn-by-turn instructions from the SatNav and music in mono. With the Harley Boom!20S you get music in stereo.<\/p>\n

If you want turn-by-turn SatNav and a hands free phone in stereo, seek help.<\/p>\n

To be brutally honest, music on a motorcycle as speed is about background audio not music appreciation: it\u2019s enough to be able to recognise the tune within a couple of seconds, which is a step above the speakers at 70mph.<\/p>\n

The WHIM does put a different complexion on the Boom!Box\u2019s capabilities, but it doesn\u2019t change the findings of that box-out: the Indian\u2019s system is better for bluetooth audio out of the box … but then so is the system I use on my Shovelhead and Buell, and every test bike I\u2019ve ridden that hasn\u2019t got an infotainment system \u2013 and which I often use on those that have: a Sena 20S hooked directly into a phone, which gives me access to Hello Google \/ Siri.<\/p>\n

The WHIM supports two bluetooth headsets, takes about two hours to fit \u2013 which you can do but which still requires the Boom!Box to be flashed by a dealer \u2013 and is completely hidden inside either the BatWing or Sharknose fairing. In the case of Ultras with a headset socket, fitting it does disable the microphone from the wired headset, but go wireless and you won\u2019t go back.<\/p>\n
