That, combined with a smooth twistgrip, means I used to have to hold the grip tighter than I\u2019d choose to, to prevent the spring overcoming what friction exists between a gloved hand and a smooth grip. It also felt as though I was at full throttle all the time, holding it against the stop when I wasn\u2019t even close.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/american-v.cso2w.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Crampbuster1.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-2749 \" src=\"https:\/\/american-v.cso2w.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Crampbuster1-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"355\" height=\"266\" srcset=\"https:\/\/american-v.cso2w.com\/hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Crampbuster1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/american-v.cso2w.com\/hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Crampbuster1-200x150.jpg 200w, https:\/\/american-v.cso2w.com\/hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Crampbuster1-600x450.jpg 600w, https:\/\/american-v.cso2w.com\/hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Crampbuster1-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/american-v.cso2w.com\/hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Crampbuster1-100x75.jpg 100w, https:\/\/american-v.cso2w.com\/hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Crampbuster1-862x647.jpg 862w, https:\/\/american-v.cso2w.com\/hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Crampbuster1.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 355px) 100vw, 355px\" \/><\/a>Put this on, and set it \u2013 by rotating it round the bar against the normal direction of travel, which is dead easy \u2013 and you\u2019ve got more purchase on the twistgrip just by resting your hand against the cruise control\u2019s \u2018paddle\u2019 than you will ever exert with a gloved hand, and you just feel more relaxed.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/american-v.cso2w.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Crampbuster2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-2750\" src=\"https:\/\/american-v.cso2w.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Crampbuster2-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/american-v.cso2w.com\/hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Crampbuster2-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/american-v.cso2w.com\/hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Crampbuster2-200x267.jpg 200w, https:\/\/american-v.cso2w.com\/hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Crampbuster2-600x800.jpg 600w, https:\/\/american-v.cso2w.com\/hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Crampbuster2-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/american-v.cso2w.com\/hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Crampbuster2-100x133.jpg 100w, https:\/\/american-v.cso2w.com\/hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Crampbuster2-862x1149.jpg 862w, https:\/\/american-v.cso2w.com\/hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Crampbuster2.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a>Okay, so it\u2019s minor irritant when you want to go back into normal running, but you soon develop a level of dexterity that allows you to spin it round to the point where the paddle is facing down, out of the way, and the net benefits are well worth it.<\/p>\n<p>And cruise assist?<\/p>\n<p>No, it won\u2019t do anything clever like maintain speed uphill or down, regardless of what gear you\u2019re in, but it will help you to maintain a speed that you\u2019ve set without throttle creep: get your hand resting comfortable on it at seventy and you will be doing seventy all day.<\/p>\n<p>The CB4 is shorter but wider, and is available in chrome too, but this CB3 is ideal for me, leaving enough space on the grip for my XXL hands, and enough clearance to move it out of the way quickly.
