Second guessing all of the things that could possibly go so omg between Crewe and Folkestone, I upgraded my ticket to a Flexi to make sure I would get on the first available train, and wow!<\/p>\n

Apparently I’m not in the first carriage because of it, but because I was the fifth vehicle and they know they can get four cars and a bike in each \u2013 easier to calculate at the front \u2013 but I did have access to a lovely lounge if I’d had time to enjoy it, clean toilets and complementary coffee and snacks.<\/p>\n

Still got some benefit from that though and came away with a small carrier bag full of lunch, to eat on the crossing.<\/p>\n

Granted the cost of the upgrade more than paid for that, but I was paying for the flexibility first.<\/p>\n

Next stop K\u00f6ln!<\/p>\n
