I’d completely forgotten how long the Forty-Eight has been around!<\/strong><\/p>\n

17th September 2010 is the date stamp on the first photograph, which doesn’t seem plausible.<\/p>\n

I still consider it to be a ‘new’ model, which is an achievement in itself for a bike in a model range that is celebrating its 60th Anniversary this year. And while it is now has a rubber-mounted, fuel-injected motor, improved brakes and suspension, and it has been through the Dark Custom programme, it is still visibly a 4-cam Sportster that you can easily trace back to its roots in 1957.<\/p>\n

But between the 2000 and 2017 model, which do you prefer?<\/p>\n

The bridge hasn’t changed, in case you were wondering, although the river has had its ups and downs.<\/p>\n
