UK ONLY DEAL, Sorry!
Twelve issues for the price of ten PLUS a free T-shirt.
Yes, we have been bloody awful at living up to that claim in the last twelve months, because we (by which I mean our former publisher) ran out of T-shirts sometime in December 2017/January 2018 and can’t – or won’t – tell us when, or who didn’t receive them.
In fairness, the boss had some life-changing things on his mind at the end of 2017 and we gave him some latitude, but we’ve still got no idea because their back office systems appear to range from the non-existent to the piss-poor. It is which is one of the reasons why we took the magazine back.
It took us four months to get a subscriptions database out of them, and the first two attempts were wrong! So, having given up, we are going to have to make an educated guess.
That was part 1 of the story.
Part 2 is that these were always intended to be limited edition t-shirts, and we are due a new one … and we have commissioned one.
At the time of writing, we are a fortnight away from seeing that design, and by then we will have generated a list of all historical subscribers who have been waiting since Positive Media days and added the Hornblower Publishing subscribers, and we will give them all a choice of the one you see here, or the new one. I suspect that will be more more creative, and will hopefully mark the start of a range of t-shirts and other merchandise.
It will be interesting to see who wants what, but this might be the end of the distressed Breakout, Hammer and Chief t-shirt.
Apologies to international readers, but the freight costs make the offer prohibitive – post is expensive to us and we have no choice but to pass it on – and by far the best deal is our digital turn-page edition: no international freight charges (or customs declarations) and no delays. If we do develop a range of merchandise, we will make that available to all, but be aware that post will be expensive.
