Available in Indigo or Black, they’re constructed from Pekev threads wrapped in cotton which is then woven into denim fabric – with the integration of Elasteen for added comfort – and runs through both the warp and the weft. This enables Resurgence to cut and construct the entire garment from this highly abrasion resistant material, giving a claimed 200% more durability than similar fabrics. To put it another way, that’s fifteen-times stronger than carbon steel.
Taper cut and featuring traditional 5-pocket styling and, for additional protection, they include D3OT5 Evo X CE EN1621-1 knee armour which sits in height adjustable pockets and hip armour.
And once the armour is removed, they can be thrown into the washing machine with your regular jeans as Pekev is unaffected by detergents, bleach or other washing additives and thus won’t degrade like other protective materials.
They are currently offered as a Level 1 garment with a Level 2 abrasion resistance of eleven seconds.
