A future V-Rod by a new name

This – or something very like it – is going to be a 2021 model, and it’s very unlike Harley-Davidson to presage future model launches, but with the demise of the VR line it’s not as though it’s going to harm sales of the outgoing model.

Side-on, it bears a closer resemblance to another American-made watercooled V-twin than you would have expected Harley-Davidson to go, but they’ve got enough of their own touches to make it their own, and if they can capitalise on the enthusiasm with which the Scout has been received – and they get the price right – it stands a chance of realising the potential that the VR struggled to.
